Zetland ward Councillors Josh Mason and Ron Harrison have helped JE Batty School to compete in a national final with a £500 donation.

Pupils from the Redcar school will be travelling to Loughborough in February to compete in the First Lego League final.

Commenting on the team’s success, Cllr Mason said:

“This is a fantastic achievement by the school’s team. They’ve done really well in previous years, winning countless trophies and representing our region brilliantly.”

“I am thrilled to be able to offer them some support this year and I wish them every success in the competition.”
