Liberal Democrats on Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council today demanded tourist information facilities for Redcar town.
At the meeting of the Council today, Councillor Mary Ovens called for the Labour-run council to re-establish tourist information facilities.
Councillor Ovens, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, said:
“The current strategy is failing to achieve the successful regeneration of Redcar, despite the money put in and the promise that the policy is right for the town.
“We need a radical review of the tourism strategy in order to promote tourism and regeneration, not only in Redcar but throughout our borough.”
The council agreed to review the tourism strategy.
